Constitution of India is the longest written constitution of the World. It came in to being on 26th January 1950.   • \n WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a 1<\/sup>[SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC] and to secure to all its citizens:\n

    • JUSTICE, social, economic and political;<\/li>\n
    • LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;<\/li>\n
    • EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/li>\n
