Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test TNTET<\/h2>\n

In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)<\/a> had vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII.<\/p>\n

What is the age limit to appear in TNTET?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no age limit for candidates appearing in TNTET Tamil Nadu schools. During recruitment of Under Graduate Teacher (For Classes I-V) and Graduate Teacher (For Classes VI-VIII) age limit will be as per recruitment rules of the Government of Tamil Nadu as amended from time to time.<\/p>\n

Applicability, in which schools TNTET Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test is applicable?<\/strong><\/p>\n

(i) a school established owned or controlled by the state Government or a local authority.<\/p>\n

(ii) an aided school receiving aid or grants to meet whole or part of Its expenses from the state Government or the local authority.<\/p>\n

(iii) a school belonging to specified category.<\/p>\n

(iv) an unaided school not receiving any kind of aid or grants to meet its expenses from the state Government or the local authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t

TNTET Validity
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Validity Period of T-TET certificate is SEVEN years from the date of award of the same.<\/p>\n

There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take for acquiring a TNTET certificate. A candidate who has qualified in T-TET may also appear again for IMPROVING her\/his score.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
