<\/a> conducts TET India at central level for central schools and it is known as CTET\nState boards conduct TET at state level for schools of state.<\/p>\n
Schools in which CTET is applicable are :-<\/span><\/p>\n (1) The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT\u2019s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.<\/p>\n (2) CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.<\/p>\n (3) Schools owned and managed by the State Government\/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Schools in which State TET is applicable are :-<\/span><\/p>\n (1) a school established owned or controlled by the state Government or a local authority.<\/p>\n (2) an aided school receiving aid or grants to meet whole or part of Its expenses from the state Government or the local authority.<\/p>\n (3) a school belonging to specified category.<\/p>\n (4) an unaided school not receiving any kind of aid or grants to meet its expenses from the state Government or the local authority.<\/p>\n Note :-<\/span><\/p>\n Points 3 and 4 varies from state to state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)<\/a> had vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII.<\/p>\n (1) Who conducts TET India?
