However, there are have been several instances where customers have faced issues with DC fast charging. This could be an inconvenience, especially if a customer is left without assistance in an unexpected situation.

Hero MotoCorp has entered the Indian electric two-wheeler market with its dedicated EV-only sub-brand Vida. Under the Vida sub-brand, the company now sells the Vida V2 electric scooter, which is available in three trim options - V2 Pro, V2 Plus and V2 Lite. Now, the EV manufacturer is gearing up for the launch of its latest product, VX2, which will come as a more affordable iteration compared to the V2.

Tata EV, shortly after announcing the prices of the Harrier EV, introduced the Stealth Edition of the SUV starting at ₹28.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition SUV is being offered only with a 75 kWh battery pack, but it is available in 4 different trim offerings. The special edition of the SUV can be had in Empowered 75 Stealth, Empowered 75 Stealth ACFC, Empowered 75 QWD Stealth and Empowered 75 QWD Stealth ACFC variant options.

Xiaomi has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of its all-new YU7 electric SUV in China, priced from RMB 253,000 (approximately ₹30.26 lakh). Following the success of its debut EV, the SU7 sedan, the YU7 is Xiaomi’s second foray into the automotive space and comes loaded with technology, performance, and customisation options.

Nissan has unveiled the new Leaf EV, which happens to be the latest avatar of the world s first mass-market electric car. From the Nissan Leaf s first entry into the showrooms in 2010 as a mass market EV pioneer to going laggard, the car has witnessed a lot of ups and downs. The Japanese carmaker has brought the third-generation Leaf EV with a major upgrade, not only on the design front, but also on the performance segment.

In a market dominated by electric scooters and price-point dynamics, Ahmedabad-based startup Matter is making a different bet. Revolt Motors has announced the rollout of its 50,000th electric motorcycle from the brand’s production facility in Manesar, Haryana. One of the first movers in the electric two-wheeler space, the company began operations in August 2019 and initially retailed the RV400 electric motorcycle. Revolt’s range now comprises the RV400, RV1+, and RV BlazeX e-bikes.

Ultraviolette Automotive will enter the mass-market electric two-wheeler space next year and the company has garnered strong interest from buyers nearly a year before deliveries. The manufacturer has revealed that its maiden electric scooter Tesseract has garnered over 60,000 bookings, while the Shockwave electric off-roader has bagged 7,000 bookings so far. Both models are slated for delivery in the first quarter of 2026.

Tesla Inc. is officially gearing up to enter the Indian automotive market, with plans to open its first showrooms in July 2025. According to sources close to the matter, the electric vehicle pioneer will debut its presence in Mumbai by mid-July, followed by a second showroom in New Delhi shortly after. This long-anticipated move will mark the company’s formal entry into the world’s third-largest car market.

The photos have been shared by a user on the social media platform Reddit. Ola Electric has announced that they are offering benefits worth ₹10,000 with its Roadster electric motorcycle. The company is offering a free extended warranty for the battery pack, free MoveOS+ and free service of essential care. It is important to note that this offer is applicable only to the first 5,000 customers.

Vietnamese carmaker VinFast announced its foray into the Indian market a while back and even showcased its entire range at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January. The automaker has now confirmed its launch plans for India, which will kick off later this year with the launch of its maiden offerings, the VF7 and VF6. Both electric SUVs have been designed and developed in Vietnam, but will be adapted for Indian conditions. The automaker has also confirmed that bookings for both offerings will begin in June this year.

Soon after starting the deliveries of the recently launched Ola Roadster X, the EV manufacturer has announced introductory benefits worth ₹10,000 on the electric two-wheeler. These offers however are limited, only available to the first 5,000 riders. Ola is offering three benefits under the offer including a free extended warranty for the battery, a free subscription to MoveOS+ and a free ‘Essential Care’ service with the two-wheeler.

Honda has taken the wraps off its first-ever electric motorcycle. The new Honda E-VO remains specific to China at the moment, and is being built in collaboration with the brand’s local partner, Guangzhou. Honda’s maiden e-motorcycle is a café racer-styled offering bringing a retro touch to the otherwise modern package. The new Honda E-VO will be sold under the Wuyang-Honda brand in China for now.

Tata EV has teased the much-awaited Harrier EV over social media just days ahead of its launch. The Tata Harrier EV is slated to launch on June 3 as the new flagship for the Indian carmaker s electric vehicle portfolio. The teaser showcases the SUV at the edge of a mountain, ready to climb to the peak. However, the mystery is not revealed yet and it is expected that the Harrier EV will be showcased, tackling the steep incline in the full advertisement will be released later. Tata Motors is preparing to launch its fourth electric vehicle in the Indian market. It will be the Harrier EV which will go against the Mahindra XEV 9e. The Harrier EV will be the new flagship electric vehicle for the brand, which means that it will sit above the Curvv EV. The homegrown manufacturer will launch the electric SUV on June 3rd, and now it has been spotted on the Mumbai Pune Expressway, that too without any camouflage.

Tata Motors launched the updated Altroz premium hatchback in the Indian market earlier this week at an introductory starting price of ₹6.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium hatchback now comes available in petrol, diesel and CNG fuel options, while transmission choices include manual, automatic and AMT units. In fact, Tata Altroz is the only premium hatchback in the Indian market that comes with a diesel engine.
